In Situ Site Investigation completed High Pressure Dilatometer Testing (HPD) at a remote site situated in North Yorkshire. The works provided essential slope stability information required in order to stabilise and maintain a section of embankment adjacent to the busy A59 link road between Harrogate and Skipton.

The HPD testing equipment was mobilised to the remote site location by the use of a specialist tracked dumper plant and equipment, along with a portable welfare shelter which was required to keep the sensitive probes and auxiliary electrical equipment dry and safe whilst operating in such an exposed location.

Despite these challenges including less than ideal climatic conditions, all tests were completed successfully as per our client’s specification.
