Over the years, we have worked with many universities across the country on research projects and papers. On many occasions, we have taken some of our CPT rigs and equipment to offer valuable hands-on experience for students and offered guidance and support. Last week, we made our first visit to give demonstrations at the University of Western England, Bristol. Over 30 students from its Civil Engineering course attended and enjoyed a tour of the rig in small groups. CPT 010, ‘Walter’, one of our 20 tonne wheeled rigs was on site and Darren and Luisa demonstrated how CPTs can form a valuable part of ground investigation whilst allowing students to explore the rig and ask questions.
