It has been a great year so far for attending exhibitions and keeping our marketing team busy!
In early April, we took one of our tracked rigs to Equipe Group’s ‘Cone Penetration Testing in Geotechnical Practice’ course at Brunel University. We had staff and equipment on site to give first hand demonstrations of CPTs in action. Darren Ward gave a CPT presentation to delegates; exploring the benefits and limitation of CPTs, case studies and advanced uses of the data.
On 27th April, we exhibited at the AGS Annual Conference which was held at the Barbican Centre in London.

In May, we travelled to Staffordshire to exhibit at the National Memorial Arboretum for the British Drilling Association (BDA) conference ‘Education, Training and Tackling the Skills Shortage in Drilling’. The event, which followed the BDA’s Annual General Meeting, engaged a high calibre of speakers, all offering to find solutions to the ever-present issue of the shortage of skills in the sector, as well as exploring some of the many initiatives that are in place and already making an impact. The exhibition, which ran alongside, was well attended and offered great networking opportunities.
What is next?
Next week, we will be exhibiting at the 20th Annual British Geotechnical Association Conference at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London. There will be a range of presentations and updates from industry experts as well as a presentation from the BGA Early Career Award.
On July 5th and 6th, we will be attending Geotechnica 2023 at the Warwickshire Event Centre. You will find us on Outdoor Stand number 6 with a range of CPT and Pressuremeter equipment, staff on hand ready to answer questions and give you a tour of our CPT rig and most importantly, a well-stocked fridge full of cold drinks and a table full of pick and mix!!!
